I know we still have a few more days left, but I wanted to wrap it up so to say and give an update on what's been going on. April has been a really good month. We celebrated Will's birthday at the beginning and I think that set us off on the right track. We've baked a lot, all the moving boxes are gone (can I get an AMEN!) It was the month where we didn't feel like we just moved into a house. Which, if you don't know, that's a really good feeling to have.

Of course we are still working on projects and still have quite a few big ones to check off before baby. But, but!! there is light at the end of the tunnel. We have been able to relax a little bit more than at the beginning. Grilling out, cooking smores, walks, bike rides, etc.. We have absolutely welcomed this Spring weather with open arms.

Our little helper has welcomed it the most I think. He looks for any chance to help, whether outside or inside, he wants to help. Usually it's just for a couple of minutes, but it's the thought that counts, right? ;) He has loved exploring this Spring season, and we have enjoyed watching him. Whether finding bugs, playing in the dirt- it's all so new and exciting to him.

I recently joined a Mom's group here in Indiana. As surprising as it may seem, it's a little out of my comfort zone to join a group like this. I know from our time in Illinois, that it's important for me to put my insecurities aside and just put myself out there. In the end, I know it will be good for the kids and I to have this little group.

Will has been working hard both at work and at home. This last couple of weeks we've slowed down and finished some projects, so it's nice to see him be able to relax and enjoy our new house. I hope to post some house pictures soon. Will just finished up the deck and the before and after pictures are awesome.

This month Grayson helped me wash and put away his little brother or sister's clothes. All of these clothes that once held his little body will soon hold a new baby. The passing of time is so bittersweet.

Thank you, April! We are ready for you, May.

  1. The weather just makes everything easier, doesn't it? We've been able to just enjoy life more when it's nice outside, and I always forget that when spring rolls around again so it's a nice surprise. :)
