LIFE & WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON

We just got back from a little overnight stay at my parents, so basically I am asleep while typing this because my child didn't sleep well. But, that's okay- we had fun and are back home! Pictures to come.

Sooo if you didn't see... Baby Naville #2 is coming in June. :) I am about 6 weeks along. With Grayson, we waited to tell the world until I was 12 weeks. We don't regret doing that, it was right for that situation. But, for this baby, we have been praying (& so many of YOU have been praying) that we couldn't wait that long. It didn't feel right this time. We wanted to celebrate this miracle of life growing inside of me. Plus, holy cow, second babies really make their presence known fast. Anyway, we appreciate your continued prayers for a healthy baby. Another post to come.

SO much has been going on and nothing at all. Wait, does that even make sense?

Let's back up just a little.

My in-laws were in town a couple of weeks ago and my father-in-law and husband installed four new windows in our family room/laundry room area. I can't believe the difference it has made already. So much beautiful new light coming in. It's amazing. Plus, on the days where it has been a little colder, I can tell a difference in warmth, too. I'm so happy we did this before winter. Here they are below installing windows.

A couple random things. In regards to winter, I have recently started collecting some toys for G specifically for the rainy and cold days. (A friend gave me the idea)  Toys that he has never seen before, but that will challenge him a bit, too and help him learn. I will only use the toys on days when we can't get outside etc.. I'll rotate them around when the timing is right. I saw an idea on Pinterest (go figure) where the mom had bins for each day of the week. I would totally love to do that, but we will see if I can get to that stage. Any other Mom's do this..?

Lastly, we have been trying a lot of fun and healthy dinners. Last week we had a veggie enchilada casserole that I had made on Sunday and then froze to eat at some point during the week. I really loved doing this and it saved me on Tuesday when I was totally going to be scrambling for dinner that night. Bonus, it was sooo good and we had leftovers for a couple of days! I'm thinking some sort of soup/ beef stew this week since the temperatures will really feel like Fall!

We have been getting our feet wet in essential oils. Totally new to the whole thing, but excited to try it, especially for the winter months. Grayson has been sick with a cold and last week I woke up feeling like I was getting it, too. But, I truly believe the oils helped me not get sick. I had a congested nose for a day, but nothing else! Trying a few new things with G in hopes that the sickness doesn't come back.

I've been re-watching Parenthood on Netflix (diehard) & Will and I have been watching Longmire together. Which is on Netflix as well. Any new shows/movies on Netflix we should check out?

So you see what I mean when I say a lot and nothing has been going on? I'm praying that this week is a good one. Praying I can rest when I need too, but to also have the energy I need. Praying you all have a great week, too. :)

Hoping you all had a great weekend!

  1. Congratulations on the pregnancy! Praying for you. And Parenthood is SO good. I think I could rewatch it over and over and never get tired of it. :) I've been really liking Poldark (on Amazon Prime) and we also have liked Arrow (Netflix) if you're into superhero stuff!
