We have been in the trenches and can't seem to climb out. Both G and I have been sick. With him being so little, he has it a lot worse than I do- which as a parent, is so hard to see.

We got back Tuesday from Indiana. We woke up Wednesday and Will left early for California for a work trip, while both G and I fell victim to some sort of virus. It only got worse as the day went on. Thankfully, he has been happy, except when it's diaper changing time.

Without going in to too many details, I probably changed a weeks worth of poopy diapers in two days. Poor guy was miserable. At first, I thought I was fine, but then I woke up Thursday very early with G and felt terrible. Congested and a low grade fever.

When Will got back on Friday, it was the light we all needed. Unfortunately, G is still dealing with the same symptoms + a runny nose. The doctor reminded me that this could last a week or more. So, this week, we are reminded that we should never take our health for granted. These circumstances are small compared to what other's go through.

This sickness has really slowed us down. More time at home and in the backyard. More time together- through sickness and health, we are family and we are here to take care of each other.
