Lately, I've had several conversations with girlfriends about how to keep and organize pictures and videos now that we have little ones. I've even seen my Mom scurrying to finish my childhood scrapbook. The memories are so precious and times passes so quickly. I find I'm always grabbing for my camera.

But, where does it go once you take the picture?

Do you print them all off, save them in the cloud, make photo books, are they saved on a hard drive, or do they just simply sit on your computer?

Unfortunately, I think the last one holds true for so many families. Time and life get in the way. Organizing and printing off pictures & videos take a back seat.

See, I've never been that way. I don't mean that to come off like I am bragging. I promise I'm not. In fact, sometimes I wish I weren't so crazy about organizing and keeping memories. But, it's just the way I'm wired.

If it wasn't for this blog, a lot of our pictures and videos wouldn't be seen by family & friends near and far. For that, I am thankful for this little space.

When Will and I started dating 6 years ago, I would print off each individual picture and put them in a photo album. It was honestly a lot of work and money. Looking back, I'm happy to have those pictures so I don't regret it, but I had to figure out a different way now that we have our own family.

So, I started doing picture books with G. Starting with 0-3 months and so on. Then if I want a picture framed, I'll print that off. That way, I don't have individual pictures just lying around. So far, this has worked out well for us. We've saved money, and these photo books are viewed frequently by friends and family alike. I've also saved all pictures and videos on a hard drive, which I highly recommend.

Lastly, I've found a website that will allow me to print my blog off in to photo book form. This new find has me really excited. To be honest, I got a bit emotional about it when I was making the books. This blog started in 2012. That's a whole lot of memories in this space. This will take some time, but it'll be so worth it.

I know that sounds like a lot. Saving and printing here and there. & to be honest, it is.

But, I promise you, it's worth it. Your family is worth it.

What about you? How do you keep and organize pictures and videos?
