Happy Friday! The sun is shining, we have TWO playdates today and Aunt Rachel is coming to town early tomorrow morning! Can we get a whooo hooo!! *Silence*

Ok, anyway. How's everyone been? I hope surviving and thriving during this Winter months. Keep chugging along people, Spring is coming.....soon... ish, soonish.  Linking up with Kelly, of course. Check out more quick takes there!

1.) Currently Reading

Honestly, I grabbed this book on a whim. I knew the author, obviously. (Eat, Pray, Love) So, I thought I would give it a try. So far, an easy read for me to relax in the evenings.
2.) Teething

Grayson popped his first tooth at 10 months and we were so excited (LOL) Now, now he is cutting 3 teeth at one time! It's been, hard...for all of us. I actually took him to the doctor thinking he had an ear infection, she checked and said his ears looked perfect, but his gums were really swollen and she could see at least 3 teeth coming in. Lord, help us, please!
3.) Flying
Next weekend we are flying to Louisville to see family and also, so Will can attend a bachelor party. This will be Grayson's first flight and I'm trying to remain calm, really. But, he is at an age where sitting still just doesn't happen unless he is strapped in to a seat and even then it's a bit of fight. Mom's, help me out, what can we do to help him on this flight. Thankfully, it's not too long, but in Mom years, it's like at least 5 billion hours.
I plan on bringing our IPad fully charged with some Mickey Mouse. Any other tips?
4.) Winter Activities

Grayson and I recently went to our local nature center for an outing. We had the place to ourselves, and I couldn't believe it! They have so many neat things to keep the kids entertained and it will only get better the older he gets.
What are some of your favorite winter time activities with your little ones?
5.) Pilates
This week, for my Mom's group, a few of us met up at a local fitness studio for a free Pilates class. I've never tried Pilates and honestly, didn't know a lot about it. I grew up playing basketball, soccer, running etc.. so this was new to me and a little out of my comfort zone. This class specifically focused on pre-natal and post-natal Pilates. I walked away from it happy that I tried it, and with a few tips too. For instance, my posture is terrible.
Have you ever tried Pilates or a sport that brought you out of your comfort zone?
6.) Lent
Yes, I literally just typed Lent. I can't believe it. Advent was yesterday, right? I really don't have a lot to say about Lent (not that I don't care)... this is basically a reminder to myself that we need to get some things figured out for this Lenten season.
What about you? Are you ready for Lent at all? Care to share?
7.) Photo Dump

  1. Pilates are awesome! After my first child was born, I remember trying to sit up in bed and I couldn't. Do. It.
    Like at all.
I had no idea how much my muscles had changed during pregnancy. Pilates and yoga and awesome for working out all of the kinks of my mommyfied body.

    Thanks for linking up!

    1. I totally agree! I've really been wanting to try yoga. Did you like one more than the other?
