Happy Friday, everyone! I hope 2016 has treated you well in the first 8 days. Here to pop in for seven quick takes, my third one and first in the new year! We have some really exciting things to share in the next month, but until then, here's a little of what we have been up too!

I finished my first book of 2016 (granted I started it in 2015), but it's done! & I've even started on a second one too! I didn't necessarily make any new years resolutions or goals, but I did think of a few things that I wanted to try to do more of, one of those was to read more.
This week, Grayson and I met one of my friends and Grayson's little buddy for an open swim here at one of the heated indoor pools. I had originally wanted to do swim lessons with him, but I figured I should take him a few times to get him really used to the water. He was in the pool a couple of times last summer, but he was so little that he would just fall asleep in his raft (so cute). He was really curious at first, and slowly started warming up to it and getting a little more confident. It was so fun to get out and try a new activity with him! Hope to do it a few more times-helps with the winter blues for sure!

Grayson is getting so much hair and I am so excited! We can thank his Daddy for this gene. This week he woke up from his nap and his little bed head was so cute, I had to take a picture of it!

After a unusually warm December, we've had some pretty chilly and rainy days. Even with that, I do try to get out at least once a day. Even if it's to the library to let him crawl around and explore some where new for an hour. Fresh air helps me so much, even if it is cold fresh air!

We have had so much fun exploring new foods with Grayson. Just this week he had his first bite of tilapia fish and absolutely loved it! I gave him a smaller one and he ate pretty much all of it, with some macaroni and cheese too! It's nice to be able to feed him what we are having for dinner. We are still working on having him feed himself small items, like cheerios, but he will get there when he gets there!

Will and I have been doing pretty well at staying consistent with working out. We know we can't do it every night and sometimes we don't want to do it at all, but man we feel so much better when we do. Even if it's for 15-20 minutes. We take turns each night or we may skip a night and go the next one, depends on how the week is going and how we are feeling. How do you find the time to work out with little ones? Any tips at all?

10 months of nursing is in the books for Grayson and I. I am very thankful for this time, and know that our breastfeeding journey is coming to an end sooner rather than later, so I am soaking in all of these moments.

Happy weekend to everyone!
