My Mom thought that moving Grayson into his crib for good would be hard for me.

Nope. Not even close.

I know what's going to be the hardest milestone for me. When we have to stop breastfeeding.

We are six whole months into our journey and I'm honestly really emotional about it because I'm so proud.

So many days/weeks/hours/minutes just you & me. Rocking back and forth.

I went into this journey completely blinded at the work that goes into breastfeeding.

I had no idea the pain, the time commitment, and the all around emotional toll it takes on you.

It's hard and quite honestly a full-time job.

I've worried about low supply, high supply, if my baby was getting enough, and how to survive a mastitis.

But, despite all of that. Despite the work, there is so much love involved.

It's like you and your baby both know. You both know the blood, sweat, and tears so to say.

You're a team.

& even when you have to get your pump out and you're cursing that thing in your head, you know it's worth it.

You know at the end of the day what a blessing it is.

& you wouldn't trade it for the world.

So here's to six months, buddy! I will hold this journey close to my heart forever.

Also a very special thanks to my husband. Without him, we absolutely wouldn't be at this milestone today. He has gone above and beyond to support me.

  1. So sweet. We are so proud of you😃

  2. It is hard work but SO worth it! (Once he starts supplementing more with other food there's not quite as much pressure on you.) Go as long as you want mama! In most countries, its common for babies to go up to 24 months. I fed B for 13 months and K for 20! Proud of you and G!
