our favorite Holiday traditions

There really is just something so special about traditions. Looking back on my childhood, some of my absolute favorite memories are the ones we did every year around the Holidays. I love looking back at the pictures and watching my brother and I grow right before my very eyes.

Since getting married, Will & I both knew that a big part of our Holiday season would be traditions that we would share with our children until they started traditions of their own with their families. I wanted to share some of our favorite traditions that we have currently.

// celebrate Advent season
// serve, donate time, gifts etc..

// go to a Christmas Tree Farm and pick out our tree then decorate with Christmas music playing

// celebrate St. Nick's Day by purchasing our new ornament that summarizes a big event for the year. (I.e. Our first Christmas, we're expecting etc.). This one will change a little when baby Naville is here next year. We plan to continue our ornament tradition, but to also have St. Nick visit baby Naville's shoes with some yummy treats!

// Bake Will's Grandma's sugar cookie recipe. (recipe shown above in picture)

// buy Christmas pj's every year & open on Christmas Eve

// make homemade cinnamon rolls for Christmas Day.

// send Christmas cards. I'm not sure what I love more, sending our card or receiving cards.

// enjoy the weather! Do you wanna build a snowman?!

// attend midnight mass or Mass on Christmas Eve

// watch the family stone at least 8 times jkjkjk, only 6. & it's a wonderful life and cry each time.

I'm so thankful for traditions & all the meanings behind them. I can't wait to see how are traditions continue and change with the addition of our children!
What are some of your favorite traditions?
