27 weeks

A lot of my time these days is spent making sure I don't have to pee before we go somewhere or that there is a bathroom wherever we go. I really feel the baby on my bladder. I also noticed I'm a little bit more acid-ey. No severe heartburn or anything like that, but I'm holding out a little hope that the old wives tale of having some acid reflex/heartburn means your baby will have hair. I guess we will see.

Recently saw a woman on Instagram (I follow her blog) had her baby boy. She wrote everyone is healthy & happy, but to excuse her absence for a while because she would just be cuddling this newborn and not letting go. I just smiled because I/we can not wait for that. After months of not knowing if it's boy or girl or what the baby looks like. I can't wait to be able to just stare at him or her & do nothing else.

The collage is back, baby!!

How far along: 27 weeks

Baby Size: About the size of a cauliflower. (roughly 2 pounds & 14 1/2 inches long with legs extended)

Baby's progress: He/She is sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing their eyes, and perhaps even sucking their fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While his/her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if the baby were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother the baby, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

Weight gain: Probably around 23ish pounds.

Stretch Marks: Still none!

Sleep: Sleeping like a baby! :)

Gender: No idea! :)

Movement: Yes, lots! Baby doesn't have a ton of room anymore, so we see it swim by a lot.

Best Moment this week: Sending out our Thank yous!

Looking forward to: Seeing family & friends at our next baby shower!

Food Cravings: No cravings this week!

Symptoms: Shortness of breath, hard to bend over & do anything.. put shoes on, put on socks..etc.. hard to shave in the shower. Still having back pain too. ---> Still the same. I am peeing a lot more & at least 1 a night.

Things that suck
: Can't complain!

Things that don't suck: Seeing baby growing and thriving.
