26 weeks!

Hello! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving day/weekend! Ours was busy, but great. I am a late with this post because of our travel and being away, but better late than never!

I've enjoyed my whole pregnancy thus far, even the parts that weren't so great, but these last couple weeks have been wonderful. It may be the Holiday cheer, but this baby is making me so happy and I'm really soaking in all of those moments that matter.

How far along: 26 weeks

Baby Sizenow weighs about 1 2/3 pounds and measures 14 inches (about the size of a scallion) from head to heel. Which I should note, this is just an approximation-baby could very well be longer & bigger than this.

Baby's progress: The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He/She may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. Baby is inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for development of baby's lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he/she is born and takes that first gulp of air. And baby is continuing to put on baby fat.

Weight gain: Unsure!

Stretch Marks: Still none!

Sleep: I didn't sleep well last week while we were traveling, so hopefully being back home helps that!

Gender: No idea! :)

Movement: Yes, lots!

Best Moment this week: Seeing family & having our first baby shower.

Looking forward to: If I would have done this on time I would have said our baby shower!

Food Cravings: No cravings this week!

Symptoms: Shortness of breath, hard to bend over & do anything.. put shoes on, put on socks..etc.. hard to shave in the shower. Still having back pain too.

Things that suck
: My back pain.. over it!

Things that don't suck: Seeing baby growing and thriving.
