Week 17

.....Wish I could think of more creative titles for these posts, but this will have to do as it's already quite time consuming. (all for you, baby, all for you).

Anyway, if you hadn't guessed it already, this week I hit 17 weeks. For the most part I am feeling great, except for my back/strain in butt. I think there are a few reasons why I am having back pain. The obvious being that there is a baby growing inside of me (duh to the duh), but with that, I am carrying this child of ours pretty low (I think mainly because of how I am built). Along with me carrying baby low, it is pushing my lower back out and arching it pretty badly, which is putting pressure on my back. Alas causing back pain. I know, I know, I'm basically a Doctor ;)

How far along: 17 weeks
Baby Size: Turnip
Baby's progress: Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — the lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. The baby weighs 5 ounces now and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. He/She can move their joints, and his/her sweat glands are starting to develop.
Weight gain: Probably not too much since my last apt, but again, I am not keeping track at home.

Stretch Marks: Still none!
Sleep: This week my sleep was a little off, but nothing to do with baby!
Gender: We aren't finding out! --------------> BUT, Will and I found out Friday that we are having a nephew in February! We are SO excited!
Movement: Yes, a little bit still. Will was able to feel it too. Nothing major, but I am starting to notice it more and feel baby move. Can't wait until it's a little bit harder or can I? :)

Best Moment this week: Nothing stands out, but I am really enjoying pregnancy!

Looking forward to: Seeing our baby in a few weeks! We haven't seen the little one since I was 7 weeks!

Food Cravings: Still not craving anything!

Symptoms: Back Pain & Headache here and there.

Things that suck: My back hurting, but I am really trying not to complain. I know other woman have it so much worse than me and I know that carrying this baby is a gift from God.

Things that don't suck: Starting to stock up on different sizes of diapers when I see them on sale!

Treasuring this time in our lives. Crazy to think that in just a few short months, our lives will change forever, and probably for the better. We love you so much, baby N.
