15 weeks

Last week I reached 15 weeks. In some ways it feels like I've been pregnant forever. It's hard to remember life before Baby Naville. I can only imagine what it will be like when we get to hold our baby. As much as I'm looking forward to seeing/holding our little one, I can't wait for Will to be able to do the same. It already brings tears to my eyes.

I looked at these pictures and I almost didn't recognize myself. I don't look like the same 'Alyson.' To me, something about these pictures just screamed Mom.

How far along: 15 weeks
Baby Size: Apple
Baby's progress: Baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces. He/She is busy moving amniotic fluid through the nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in the lungs begin to develop. His/Her legs are growing longer than the arms now, and can move all of his/her joints and limbs. Although his/her eyelids are still shut, he/she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, he/she will likely  move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but he/she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")
Weight gain: No idea! I feel healthy and good!
Stretch Marks: None that I can see. I am big on lotion!
Sleep: I've been sleeping really well lately!
Gender: We aren't finding out!
Movement: None that I can feel, yet. Will and I are anxious for this to happen. <---same!!!

Best Moment this week: The cooler weather and going maternity shopping with my momma!

Looking forward to: A lot of stuff: going to the apple orchard, carving pumpkins etc... next year we will be able to do it with Baby N! We can't wait!

Food Cravings: Nothing to in particular. I like it all! :)

Symptoms: Headaches, back aching really bad because my IT band is so tight. Doing lots of stretching and I'm going to talk to my doctor to see what she recommends.

Things that suck: My back hurting at work and stretching my IT band out on the foam roller. Talk about some serious pain.

Things that don't suck: Maternity clothes! SO soft and comfy. My jeans are like sweats!

Last weekend Baby N went his/her first wedding and got to meet Aunt Kim, and lots of Mommy and Daddy's best friends!
3 of us!

Aunt Kim!

Mason and Dad!

We had so much fun talking about you & Mommy stole Dads cheesecake. Whoops! ;)
