Back in a normal routine/1 month of marriage!

Well Will and I are finishing up a super busy four weeks. & actually those four weeks happened to be the first four weeks of our married life. A little ironic. God putting us to the test at the start of our marriage. I will shed some light on what has been going on & why my blogging has looked more like a 5th grader writing it, than a college graduate.

-Most of you know that we got married on September 7th & had a "mini-moon" right after that.
-We arrived back to Chicago the following Wednesday after our wedding.
-That weekend, on Saturday is when we found our new house, so the next week I spent it packing up everything we had basically just hung or put away. It was a little hectic, but we just kept reminding ourselves of how happy we would be once we moved.
-We had friends help us that weekend to move all of our belongings. (which we are so thankful for)
-Then of course the following week was spent putting all of our stuff into our new home, opening gifts and putting those away, thank you cards.. etc.
-That weekend of the 28th of September, my cousin was getting married in Southern Indiana, so we left Saturday morning for my parents house and rode with them to Montgomery, Indiana.
-We came back home on Sunday, so that was about a 6 hour drive for us.
-The following week we left Thursday for Indy again. Friday morning our friend Rod picked us up and we headed to Kansas City (which is a 9 hour drive) for our friends wedding!
-We got there at 5ish, but we were able to stay with my best friend Kim, which was awesome!
-The wedding was on Saturday and we left at 11pm from the wedding.
-Sunday I had to leave with a group of friends heading back to Chicago at 8am, while my husband was leaving for France. It was the hardest thing to say goodbye to him.

From the wedding this weekend in Kansas City!

(lets out a a breath of fresh air) Wow, I knew we were busy, but writing it and actually seeing what we had going on is just crazy.

Currently I am back home, and it's never felt so good to just sit. :) We have no where to go or any events to be at until Thanksgiving weekend and for that, I am SO thankful. We loved being able to be there for our family and friends, but we are so looking forward to exploring our new area & being here for a weekend wouldn't be bad either.

Will being gone this week is going to be tough, but I know it will pass and come Saturday, he will be back home and we can finally enjoy our married life a little bit more.

& Speaking of married life, today is our 1 month anniversary. I know, some people are like, seriously? 1 month? I've been married 15+ years. Well, first I think it's totally amazing to celebrate any anniversary, whether it be 1 year, 63 years or 1 month :) One of the best advices I got while we were engaged is to celebrate everyday, every occasion, well you get the point...you are never guaranteed tomorrow, so you better make the best of today!

So with that being said, Happy 1 month to my love! I didn't think marriage would feel different, but it does. I can't explain it, but something about us has changed just a little, in a good way! Being your wife, Will has given me the greatest gift. Every day with you is wonderful, precious, joyful, loving & challenging. But I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! You complete me and I love you SO much!

  1. It is better to get into the routine after having such a great time and it is the fact. When I was getting married I was having a lot on my mind but it all went smoothly for me.
